How We Test Monero Casinos

One real deposit per casino, ten parameters, equal weights, a plain sum. This page shows every scale we use and why each casino got the points it got.

The Test Protocol

Every score on the home page comes from a single test session per casino, run by Hazel Hayes-Bennett on September 21, 2026. We say “single” deliberately. One deposit and one withdrawal cannot tell you how a cashier behaves on a Tuesday in December under load, and we do not pretend otherwise. What one test can tell you is whether the coin stays XMR, what the cashier takes, and how long the money is out of your hands, measured rather than quoted.

The amount was 0.075 XMR per casino, around $40 at the time. Small enough to be a realistic first deposit, large enough to clear most minimum-deposit thresholds. It was not large enough to clear two minimum-withdrawal thresholds, which turned out to be a finding rather than a flaw.

The steps, in order, with what we record at each:

  1. Register. A fresh account from a clean browser profile. We record which fields are mandatory, whether any confirmation is required before the cashier opens, and the time from landing on the sign-up page to seeing a deposit address.
  2. Read the cashier. Before sending anything: does the deposit page say the XMR will be converted? Is there a confirmation-count warning? Is XMR listed on the withdrawal page? What is the minimum deposit and the minimum withdrawal? The format of the deposit address (subaddress, integrated, legacy) goes in the notes.
  3. Deposit. 0.075 XMR from our own wallet. Timer starts at broadcast and stops when the balance is spendable. We record the credited amount and currency, and any difference from what we sent.
  4. Play. A short session on one slot or one original game, enough to place real bets and, where a provably fair system exists, to run its verification on at least one round. We count the live lobby while we are there. Losses at play are recorded separately from everything else, so they can be subtracted later.
  5. Ask support. One specific question about Monero handling, such as withdrawal thresholds or the conversion order, sent through live chat. We record time to first reply, time to a human, and whether the answer matched the cashier's actual behaviour.
  6. Withdraw. The full balance to a fresh subaddress, or in the casino's payout currency where XMR is not offered. Timer starts at request and stops when the funds are confirmed in our wallet. We record approval time separately, casino fees, network fees, and whether any verification was requested.
  7. Reconcile. Deposit, minus losses at play, minus what came back, equals loss outside play. This is the single number we care about most, and every review publishes it.

Bonus terms are read from the operator's published conditions on the test date. We do not activate welcome offers, because a bonus changes the withdrawal rules and we want the cashier measured on its own. Licence details and other public facts are collected separately and checked against the operator's site plus at least one independent source; anything unconfirmed is left out.

The Formula

Score = P1 + P2 + P3 + P4 + P5 + P6 + P7 + P8 + P9 + P10, where each parameter is worth 0.1 to 0.5. Ten parameters, equal weights, maximum 5. No multipliers, no adjustment for placement, no rounding.

Equal weights are a choice, and an arguable one. A reader who cares only about coin handling might weight XMR Handling triple. We publish the breakdown for every casino so you can do that arithmetic yourself; the sum on the home page is the neutral default.

The Ten Parameters

What each one measures, how, and what counts as failing.

1. XMR Handling

Does the coin you sent come back as the coin you sent? Everything else on this site is downstream of that question. We check three things at the cashier: the currency the balance is displayed in after the deposit credits, whether XMR appears in the withdrawal list, and whether the casino warned about conversion before we pressed send.

Our scale: 0.1 = XMR converted on arrival with no warning before sending. 0.2 = converted, but the cashier states it clearly before the deposit. 0.3 = XMR balance kept, but withdrawals forced into another coin. 0.4 = XMR in and out, with a conversion step or spread visible somewhere in the flow. 0.5 = balance held in XMR, withdrawn in XMR, no swap anywhere.

VaveUSDTNoYes0.2
BC.GameXMRYesNot needed0.5
1xBitXMRYesNot needed0.5
BitStarzUSDT (TRC-20)NoYes, with rate shown0.2

Vave and BitStarz score 0.2 rather than 0.1 for one reason: both told us about the conversion before we sent anything. A cashier that hides it would sit at the bottom of the scale. Reviews: Vave, BitStarz.

2. Hidden Costs

The reconciliation line from step seven of the protocol: deposit, minus losses at play, minus what returned. On a native cashier that number is the Monero network fee and nothing else. On a converting cashier it is the swap spread plus the fee of whatever chain the payout leaves on, and on our test it was thirty-six to forty times larger.

How we score it: 0.1 = more than 10% of a $40 deposit lost outside play, or an undisclosed casino withdrawal fee. 0.2 = 5–10%. 0.3 = 2–5%, typically conversion spread plus a payout-chain fee. 0.4 = network fee only, but a condition attached to the fee waiver, such as mandatory turnover. 0.5 = network fee only, no conditions.

CasinoLoss outside playWhat it wasScore
Jack$0.05 on $40Monero network fee0.5
Vave$1.80 on $40$0.80 swap spread + $1 TRC-20 fee0.3
BC.Game$0.05 on $40Monero network fee0.5
1xBit$0.05 on $40Network fee; casino fee waived only after 1x turnover0.4
BitStarz$2.00 on $40Swap spread + network fee0.3

1xBit loses a tenth for the turnover condition: no fee, but only after the deposit has been wagered once, which cost us an extra dollar at play. Reviews: 1xBit, Vave.

3. Withdrawal Speed

Timer at request, timer off when the funds are confirmed in our wallet. Approval time is recorded too, but the score uses the wall-clock total, because that is the number you feel. We withdraw to a fresh subaddress, or to a fresh address on the payout chain where XMR is not offered.

Point breakdown: 0.1 = over 24 hours or a manual review that stalls. 0.2 = 2–24 hours. 0.3 = 40–120 minutes. 0.4 = 25–40 minutes. 0.5 = 20 minutes or under.

Twenty minutes is the fastest anyone managed and two casinos hit it: Jack in XMR and Vave in USDT. 1xBit's 40 minutes lands it at 0.3, the slowest of the five. Reviews: Jack, 1xBit.

4. Deposit Speed

A Monero deposit cannot credit before ten confirmations, and ten confirmations take about 20 minutes. So this parameter does not reward speed; it penalises anything a casino adds on top of the protocol. Timer starts at broadcast and stops when the balance is spendable.

Scoring criteria: 0.1 = more than 2 hours or manual crediting. 0.2 = 1–2 hours. 0.3 = 30–60 minutes. 0.4 = 21–30 minutes, typically confirmations plus an exchange step. 0.5 = 20 minutes, the protocol floor.

The three native cashiers credited at exactly 20 minutes. Vave and BitStarz took 25, and the extra five minutes is their exchange step, not slow crediting. Reviews: BC.Game, BitStarz.

5. Withdrawal Minimum

Can a small balance leave? We take the cashier's stated minimum for the payout currency and ask one question: could a player who deposited $40, lost some, and wants the rest back, actually get it? Two of the five casinos in our test said no, and we had to add funds before we could measure their payout at all.

Rating logic: 0.1 = minimum above $100 equivalent. 0.2 = $60–$100. 0.3 = $40–$60. 0.4 = $20–$40. 0.5 = under $20.

BC.Game0.12 XMR~$65No, topped up0.2
1xBit0.01 XMR~$5Yes0.5
BitStarz$50$50No, topped up0.3

XMR-denominated minimums move with the price of Monero, so Jack's and BC.Game's dollar figures will drift. We re-check them when the price moves enough to cross a band. Reviews: BC.Game, BitStarz.

6. Bonus Value & Terms

Headline numbers are ignored. What we read: the wagering requirement and what it applies to, the time limit, the maximum bet while the bonus is active, any cap on winnings, and whether an XMR deposit qualifies at all. The headline figure is the least informative number on the page. We do not activate the offer; the score comes from the terms as published on the test date.

What each point means: 0.1 = XMR deposits excluded, or terms not published. 0.2 = 40x or higher with a clock under 14 days. 0.3 = 40x with 14–30 days, or 30–40x with a short clock. 0.4 = under 30x, or a light requirement with a meaningful cap. 0.5 = no hard multiplier, 30 days or more.

BC.Game earns 0.5 for a turnover-based unlock over 60 days. Jack's 1x is the lightest wagering on the site but comes with a $100 win cap and a 48-hour window, which holds it at 0.4. BitStarz's 5 BTC headline sits on 40x inside 7 days and scores 0.3. Reviews: BC.Game, Jack.

7. Game Library & Live Casino

Operators publish game counts that we cannot verify without clicking through thousands of tiles, so we do not score them. We count the live-dealer lobby ourselves during the play session, because it is finite and visible.

How it's scored: 0.1 = no live casino. 0.2 = under 50 tables. 0.3 = 50–70. 0.4 = 70–300. 0.5 = over 300.

Vave's 700+ and Jack's 480 clear the top band; BC.Game's 70+ was the smallest lobby of the five. Reviews: Vave, Jack.

8. Provably Fair

A claim is not a system. We look for a published verification method on at least the casino's original games, then run it on a real round from our session. If the verification tool reproduces the result, the system counts; if it cannot be found or does not work, it does not, whatever the footer says.

Our scale: 0.1 = no provably fair games. 0.2 = claimed, but no verification method we could find. 0.3 = method published, verification failed or could not be completed. 0.4 = verification worked on a limited set of originals. 0.5 = verification worked, with a clear method covering the originals catalogue.

Four casinos scored 0.5. 1xBit's 0.4 reflects a system that works on Plinko and Crash but is not visibly extended across its originals. Reviews: BC.Game, 1xBit.

9. Registration Privacy & KYC

What the sign-up form demands, and whether verification gets between you and your money. We record every mandatory field, any confirmation step before the cashier opens, and whether documents were requested at the deposit or on the test withdrawal. The withdrawal result is stated as exactly that, one withdrawal of one size; it is not a promise about your account.

Scoring criteria: 0.1 = documents required before the first deposit. 0.2 = documents requested on the test withdrawal. 0.3 = mandatory confirmation step (email or phone) before depositing, no documents. 0.4 = email and password only, no confirmation, no documents on our withdrawal. 0.5 = no personal field at all, no documents on our withdrawal.

1xBit's one-click sign-up is the only 0.5. BitStarz's email confirmation before the deposit is the only mandatory verification step we hit and holds it at 0.3. Reviews: 1xBit, BitStarz.

10. Support

One question, asked through live chat, about something the casino actually does with Monero: the withdrawal threshold, the conversion order, the fee rule. We time the first reply, time the arrival of a human, and check the answer against what the cashier did. A fast wrong answer scores below a slow right one.

Point breakdown: 0.1 = no live chat, or a wrong answer. 0.2 = human after more than 15 minutes. 0.3 = human in 8–15 minutes, correct answer. 0.4 = human in 3–5 minutes, correct answer. 0.5 = human within 2 minutes, correct answer.

Every answer we received was correct. The spread is entirely in waiting time: one minute at BitStarz, eight at 1xBit. Reviews: BitStarz, 1xBit.

Re-testing and Corrections

A cashier can change on any given day. When we learn that an operator has changed a scored parameter, such as adding or removing XMR from the withdrawal list, changing a minimum, or rewriting bonus terms, we re-run the affected steps of the protocol, update the score and the breakdown, and change the date at the top of the home page. Readers who spot a discrepancy between what we published and what a cashier does can write to contact@xmrcasino.net; we check every report against the live cashier and log the outcome below.
